Airview Fire Recon (AFR) was honoured to attend the Paris Air Show following an invitation from Safran, providing a valuable opportunity to further its ongoing mission of evaluating and integrating world-leading ISR technologies.
Representing AFR at the event were CEO Stephen Brookes and Chief Systems Engineer Joshua Brookes Allen, who took part in a dedicated flight testing programme of Safran’s advanced Euroflir 410 multi-sensor gimbal. The system, known for its high-end performance and versatility, was mounted on the Diamond DA62 MPP (Multi-Purpose Platform) aircraft for the demonstration flights.

The invitation from Safran enabled AFR to gain first-hand operational insight into one of the industry’s most capable sensor systems, assessing its performance in real-world flight conditions. The testing focused on evaluating the gimbal’s imaging capabilities, stability, and suitability across a range of mission profiles.
As a solutions-focused company, AFR places strong emphasis on independently assessing a wide range of technologies to ensure the best possible outcomes for its clients. This fact-finding mission proved highly valuable, generating a number of key insights and discoveries that will further enhance AFR’s ability to design and deliver bespoke ISR solutions tailored to a diverse set of operational requirements and vendor platforms.
The experience also reinforced AFR’s commitment to working closely with leading manufacturers and technology providers, ensuring it remains at the forefront of innovation within the aerial reconnaissance and intelligence sector.
AFR extends its thanks to Safran for the invitation and the opportunity to participate in this important evaluation, and looks forward to continuing its collaboration as it refines and expands its ISR capabilities.
