Integration and testing of new mapping system

In partnership with our Grass Valley team from GSS, our new mapping system is being trialed and integrated into our existing airborne systems suite. Utilising advanced gaming technology to create a 3d world providing a precise geo-locational and captured active fire data landscape that is then superimposed onto uncompressed daylight and thermal imaging, this new technology promises to be a real game changer in Wildfire management. 

This new system will go into service in Queensland Australia in late September on the Queensland Fire Services contracted SIG platform, Firebird 415.
