Airview Fire Recon Advances ISR Capabilities Through Ongoing R&D and Flight Testing

This commitment was on full display today in Northern California, where AFR collaborated with the GSS team to test fly the new S512 gimbal, currently in development. The session focused on refining the sensor and lens package, as well as evaluating advanced tracking and auto-lock features—key components in enhancing real-time situational awareness and operational effectiveness.

Representing AFR on the day were CEO Stephen Brookes and U.S. President and Chief of Operations Harald Hohenthal, working alongside a full team from GSS, including CTO Steve Rudolph. The joint effort provided a valuable opportunity to exchange expertise, assess system performance in live flight conditions, and push the boundaries of what next-generation ISR technology can deliver.
