Airview Fire Recon Showcases Capabilities at Sacramento Aerial Firefighting Conference 2024
Airview Fire Recon (AFR) was proud to exhibit at the Tangent Link Aerial Firefighting North America Conference, held in Sacramento, California, in March 2024—an event that once again demonstrated its status as one of the leading global gatherings for the aerial firefighting community.
Representing AFR at the conference were Stephen Brookes, CEO, Harald Hohenthal, Company President and Chief of Operations, and Joshua Brookes Allen, Chief Technical Officer. Together, the team engaged with industry leaders, operators, and government stakeholders across a highly productive and well-attended event.
Returning to Sacramento for the first time since 2019, the 2024 conference brought together a strong mix of exhibitors, speakers, and delegates from across the international aerial firefighting sector. The event featured numerous technology providers and operators showcasing the latest advancements in aerial firefighting systems, while also providing a valuable platform for collaboration and knowledge exchange.

The conference programme delivered a high-quality lineup of respected speakers and subject matter experts, covering a broad range of topics including aerial firefighting tactics, training, and emerging technologies. Thought-leading presentations and case studies encouraged meaningful discussion around operational challenges and future innovations, reinforcing the event’s reputation for bringing together the very best minds in the field.
In addition to the conference sessions, attendees benefited from a dynamic event format that included panel discussions, technical workshops, and static aircraft displays at McClellan Airtanker Base—home to CAL FIRE’s air operations—further enhancing the practical and operational focus of the event.
With a diverse audience of industry professionals, government agencies, and operators from across the globe, the conference provided an excellent environment for networking and collaboration. AFR found the event to be particularly successful, opening discussions and developing strong contacts with a wide range of potential clients, collaborators, and future partners.
Reflecting on the event shortly after its conclusion, the AFR team noted the exceptional quality of engagement throughout, both on the exhibition floor and during the conference sessions. The opportunity to connect with so many key stakeholders and to contribute to conversations shaping the future of aerial firefighting made Sacramento 2024 a highly valuable experience.
AFR looks forward to building on the momentum generated at this event and continuing to support the advancement of aerial firefighting capabilities worldwide.
